Brit Young has more than twenty years’ experience as a corporate attorney, specializing in entity formation, financings, acquisitions, sales, and other transactional and governance matters.
Brit began practicing law at large firms in Charlotte, North Carolina, working on a range of complex corporate transactions, including representing: investors and issuers in venture capital and private equity financings; sellers and purchasers in M&A transactions; lenders and borrowers in debt financing transactions; as well as ‘quarterbacking’ day-to-day legal matters for high-growth companies.
Brit has a passion for working with entrepreneurs to achieve their vision. So, after seven years practicing at large law firms, Brit joined the founding team of a start-up medical device company as its General Counsel & Director of Business Development to execute on the company’s highly transactional business plan. Brit led the company’s legal efforts as it raised over $115 million in venture capital financings, completed acquisitions and partnerships throughout the world, closed an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, and was ultimately sold to a Fortune 500 medical device leader.
After the sale, in order to continue his work with entrepreneurs, Brit formed a boutique transactional law firm to efficiently provide experienced and sophisticated legal advice to venture backed and founder led companies, as well as general counsel and contract review services to large enterprises.
Brit joined Continuum Legal Group in November 2025 to offer best-in-class services and support to his clients for a variety of their legal needs.
Brit had the fortune of attending the University of Florida for most of the ‘Spurrier Era,’ and now lives in Alpharetta with his wife, two daughters, two dogs and a three-legged/one-eyed cat known as The Captain.
