Ellis Diment Clinton focuses her practice in commercial real estate, assisting clients in the acquisition, leasing and development of commercial properties located throughout the United States and spanning a variety of asset classes, including retail, office, industrial and mixed-use properties.
Prior to joining CLG, Ellis was a partner in the commercial real estate practice group of an AM Law 100 firm. For over 10 years, she has represented and advised national and regional developers, tenants, restaurant and retail companies, and major corporations in the disposition, development and leasing of commercial real estate. Ellis also has experience representing multicampus hospital systems in leasing transactions subject to healthcare regulations, such as Stark and Anti-Kickback.
A dedicated advocate for her clients, Ellis works to provide informed, pragmatic legal advice that considers and advances her clients’ individual business goals.
Born and raised just outside of Atlanta, Ellis attended law school at the University of Georgia and began her legal career in Austin, Texas, where she practiced for a couple of years before moving back to Atlanta and meeting her husband. She and her husband have two young children and enjoy spending time outside, riding bikes, and playing pickleball.

- Represented and advised national quick service restaurant company in connection with ground leases, acquisitions, development and property management issues for its new and existing restaurant locations throughout the United States.
- Represented national banking institution, major energy corporation and other large companies in the negotiation of leases for retail, office and industrial properties throughout the United States.
- Prepared and negotiated ground leases, leases, subleases and timeshares for multicampus hospital system.
- Represented national homebuilders in the assemblage, acquisition and development of residential communities throughout the Southeastern United States.
- Advised multi-family housing developer with a portfolio of over 30 multi-family properties in connection with acquisitions, development, and property management issues.
- Represented national student housing developer in the preparation and negotiation of construction agreements, owner architect agreements, and related construction and development documents.
